Prep-Science and Engineering Program ( PSEP )

The PSEP was formed on May 17, 2010. This department is comprised of the PYP 001 (Physical Science), PYP 002 (Computer Science), PYP 003 (Life Skills), and PYP 004 (Engineering Technology) courses.  Half of the newly admitted students take PYP 001 & PYP 003 in the first semester and PYP 002 & PYP 004 in the second semester or vice versa.

The PSEP aims to provide students with a basic understanding of science and engineering concepts as well as the necessary life skills to prepare them for undergraduate studies.

Technologies used in teaching/learning: Blackboard, MS Teams, Smartboards, head-on projectors, AutoCAD drawing, Robotics lab, pneumatics lab, automotive lab.

Teaching and learning methods: PowerPoint presentations, flipped classroom, recorded video lectures, teamwork, recorded video lectures, help sessions, recorded solutions to problems, course websites, Online homework and quizzes, online office hours, MS whiteboard discussion, educational videos, lab demonstrations, lab work, projects.
